Summary: Situated in Ireland's only college town, Maynooth University's location is a perfect blend of small-town charm with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Dublin. Students can easily walk off campus and into Maynooth town for coffee, pints, and craic (Irish slang for fun)! On any given night, Maynooth's pubs and restaurants are filled with students. The student traditional music society, the jazz society, and many more clubs frequently play gigs in the venues alongside campus- there's always something going on! Maynooth also boasts beautiful canal and river walks. For those days (or nights) when students are craving big-city life, Dublin city centre is just a (rather beautiful) 45-minute train ride away. Maynooth is a comprehensive university in the National University system, and students can take classes across a range of disciplines. There's no need to apply to a specific department at Maynooth- interdisciplinary learning is encouraged! Maynooth is offered as an academic year or Spring semester only- there is no Fall semester option!
