Program Description:

Florence, ItalyView of the Ponte Vecchio (Florence, Italy)

Florence is magical. A provincial city that nonetheless feels like a sophisticated cultural capital, it boasts world-class art and architecture from centuries past, plus the verve of the present-day fashion industry. The food is GREAT. So are the views! So are the quintessential red roofs and Brunelleschi's magnificent brick dome. The city of Florence will capture your heart while the Università di Firenze becomes your intellectual and linguistic home-away-from home.

Courses previously taken by Holy Cross students: click on this webpage, then click on the pdf next to "Italy - Università di Firenze (Florence)". Note that this list provided by the registrar's office is meant to give you an idea of the types of courses offered at UniFi based on what past HC students have taken. It is NOT a list of classes guaranteed to be available to you during your semester(s) abroad! In other words, you are not limited to the classes listed here. Class offerings change each semester, and you certainly can register for approved classes not listed on the pdf which are currently being taught at the Università di Firenze.

*Note: Different departments may present their course catalogs differently. Some have a list of available courses, some provide an overview of the required courses for a particular major (Italian students are much more restricted within their majors). These catalogs are a general guide. You will have assistance in selecting your classes on site.
